Obituary: Lula M. Harris
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Lula M Harris, 87, of Broughton and the Galatia area, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2012, in Broughton.
She was born on Jan. 17, 1925, in Ozark, Johnson County, to William Thomas Choate and Delphia Choate Williams. Her father died when she was 3 and her mother married William O. Russell.
Mrs. Harris worked at Missouri Antilitical in St. Louis, Mo. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW in Dupo. When married to Philip R. Gill, she had two children, Alan D. Gill, who preceded and daughter Luann R. (Gill) Irvin of Broughton; also surviving are six grandchildren, Bobbie Choisser, Jim Gill, Matt Gill, Abby Gill, Jennifer Trussell and Bryan Irvin; nine great-grandchildren, Kendal, Kendra and Caity Brown, Cormack and Conner Gill, Breonna, Brittani and Sara Irvin and Emerson Trussell.
She also had three brothers, who preceded her in death.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at the Salem Cemetery in Carrier Mills with the Rev. Roger Marvel officiating. Sloan Funeral Home of Galatia is in charge of services.
