Yulondia 'Donnie' Turner

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Yulondia "Donnie" Turner, 86, of Carrier Mills, died 4 a.m. Friday, March 6, 2009, at Harrisburg Medical Center.

She was born Oct. 15, 1922, in Saline County to the late Earl and Addie (Roe) Hancock. On Nov. 13, 1943, she married Frederick Turner Sr., who preceded her in death on March 21, 1992.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Carrier Mills and the Comfort Rebekah Lodge No. 48 of Carrier Mills.

She is survived by two daughters and one son, Earlene (Larry) Quigley of Carbondale, MariBeth (Jim) Hull of Macedonia and Frederick (Beth) Turner of Harrisburg; a sister, Maggie Thompson of Carrier Mills; nine grandchildren, Sarah, Seth and Ben Turner, Angela Jackson, Andrea Quigley, John Quigley, Elizabeth Puckett and Addison and Rachel Hull; and four great-grandchildren, Devon, Darius, Chelsea and Chayton.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Hancock; and a sister, Genevieve Quick.

Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2009. Services will be held 1 p.m. Sunday, March 8, 2009, at Absher-Nicholson Funeral Home in Carrier Mills with the Rev. Joey Dunning officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery, Carrier Mills.

The family prefers memorials in lieu of flowers to the First United Methodist Church of Carrier Mills. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
