Music professors perform at SIC this Sunday
Harrisburg native Ken Steinsultz will be joined by two other music professors from the University of Evansville and will be serenading music fans at 2 p.m. this Sunday in the George T. Dennis Visual and Performing Arts Center at Southeastern Illinois College.
As part of the college's Cultural Arts Series, part their group, UE3, will be joined by two alumni from the University of Evansville, Ind., and will perform as the Shepard Brass Quintet.
The performance will present a wide range of musical numbers with composers that range from Vaclav Nelhybel to John Lennnon and Paul McCartney. Spirituals and the recently composed "Do the Funky Heron" will be featured. There should be a little something for every musical taste in the performance.
Steinsultz is joined by another Southern Illinois native on the trumpet, Kevin Wilson, originally from Grayville.
Tickets are available at the door and the cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children. For more information call 618-252-5400, extension 2486
