Obituary: Elaine Jackson

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Elaine Jackson, 72, of Stonefort, went to be with her Lord and Savior, surrounded by her family at 7:56 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 13, 2011, at St. Mary's Hospital in Evansville, Ind.

Celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2011, at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2011. Burial will be in Blackman Cemetery in Stonefort. The Rev. Keith Bunfill and the Rev. Staley Langham and the Rev. Bill Benton will officiate. Memorials may be made to the Stonefort Missionary Baptist Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

She was born on July 29, 1939, in Stonefort to the late Harry and Alice (Bennett) Smith.

She married George A. Jackson on April 24, 1959, and he survives.

She was a member of the Stonefort Missionary Baptist Church, where she was the youth leader for many years.

She enjoyed her family very much, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, George Jackson of Stonefort; two sons, Allen (Donna) Jackson and Jarrod Jackson, both of Stonefort; two daughters, Penny (Bill) Benton of Evansville, Ind. and Allyson (Gary) Ryan of Carrier Mills; a brother, William (Pat) Smith of Mt. Juliet, Tenn; two sisters, Jamima (Gary) Farthing and Suzanne Wilson of Carrier Mills; nine grandchildren, Elijah and Jordan Jackson, Taylor and Brock Jackson, John, Blake, Amanda and Kelli Benton and Kyleigh Ryan. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
