Marion VFW will host car show

MARION - The Marion VFW Post 1301 will hold a car, truck, and bike show on Sunday, Sept. 25, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

The even is open to all classes of cars, trucks, and motorcycles.

The entry fee is $10 per vehicle. Registration begins at 10 a.m. Judging will take place at noon with awards presented at 2 p.m.

"We're hoping to have at least 100 participants," said Gayle Kee, one of the event organizers.

Kee said dash plaques and goody bags will be given to the first 75 paid participants.

"We will also have 18 to 20 vendors and two food trucks," she said.

The event also includes a 50/50, raffles, and a silent auction with over 50 items, as well as music by "Big Elvis."
