Brian Auger may not be a big-name superstar, but he still keeps it funky

There are musicians who grab for the gold, hit the top and stay there forever. Springsteen, Sting, McCartney in pop; Duke, Ella, Miles in jazz. But there are plenty more players who may achieve a modicum of success, then go on to carve out musical careers that give them pleasure and earn them a living, but don't necessarily make them household names.
