</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Gertrude A. Zill, nee Simmons, went to Jesus, July 6, 2009.

She was the beloved wife of Robert A., Sr. She was the loving mother of Theresa (the late Lawrence) Cavin, Sandra (James) Turk, Robert A. II, and Denise (Tom) Chester. She was the dear grandmother of Steve, Tamara and Faith Ann Cavin, Jimmy, Brian, Robert, Susan, Timothy, Debra and Jason Turk, Christina, Carissa, Melissa (Catie), Cheryl and Robert A. III Zill, and Wendy, Benjamin, Barry and T.J. Chester. She was the great-grandmother of 18. She was the fond sister of John (Margie) Simmons, Ethel Frayer and the late Otis Simmons.

She was preceded in death by her parents, the Rev. Otis and Mabel Simmons of Galatia.

Visitation is 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday, July 9, 2009, at Modell Funeral Home, 7710 S. Cass Ave., Darien, where funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, July 10, 2009. Interment will be in Forest Home Cemetery.
