GIRLS BASKETBALL: Lady Falcons get first win

The Lady Falcons got in the win column on Monday night at Trico, defeating the Lady Pioneers 47-39 after trailing at the end of each of the first three quarters.

Elverado used a 17-8 fourth period to pull away for the win, getting 7 points in the quarter from Emma Bigham.

Sisters Brooke Whittington and Allie Whittington each had 11 points to share the team lead in scoring against Trico. Bigham finished with 9 points, Hannah Alstat had 8, Tori Ehlers 4, Kennedy Kimmel 3 and Kadie Dunmyer 1.

EHS (1-8) travels to Webber Township on Wednesday then hosts Century on Thursday in Elkville.
