3 injured following Mother's Day crash

CREAL SPRINGS - The Illinois State Police are investigating a traffic crash that sent a Creal Springs woman and tow juveniles to the hospital.

According to a preliminary report by the ISP, there were three vehicles involves in the incident that took place on Illinois 166 at Atlanta Lane in Williamson County at approximately 4:50 p.m. on May 9.

Police say that a 2015 Ford Escape driven by Mallory J. Wright, 33, of Creal Springs was traveling northbound on Illinois 166 when it crossed the centerline and collided with a 2015 Buick Enclave driven by Karolyn Graff, 65, of Marion. Wright's vehicle continued to travel off the roadway and rolled over.

A 2012 Nissan Maxima driven by 52-year-old Sarah L. Fry of Ozark swerved to avoid the crash, continued off the roadway and collided with a tree.

Fry and Graff reported no injuries. Wright and two juveniles aged 8 and 6, were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Wright was cited for improper lane usage and illegal transportation of alcohol.
