Gallatin fall harvest continues after Sunday rain dries

GALLATIN COUNTY - After the first decent rain in about a month soaked much of southern Illinois Sunday night, farmers in Gallatin County returned to the field Tuesday.

Combines and tractors are more frequently on roadways traveling to and from fields, and Gallatin County Farm Bureau reminds area residents to keep an eye out for farm equipment.

Visit Gallatin County Farm Bureau's Facebook page for articles, videos and podcasts related to farm safety, harvest permits and other topics.
