Dear son of Paula K. Thomeczek and the late Joseph Robert Nelson, Sr.; dear father of Andrew Fletcher, Bailey Nelson, Steven J. Nelson, Jr., Luke Nelson and Lilah Bridges; dear brother of Joseph (Debbie) Nelson, Timothy Lee (Regina) Nelson, Angela M. Purnell and Kelly I. (Brian) Parson; dear uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Steven Nelson children's trust fund.
