OBITUARY: Ronald Dean Wise

Ronald Dean Wise, age 58 of Harrisburg, passed away at 11:04 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville, Ind.

Ronnie was born on Thursday, Sept. 22, 1955, in Paducah, Ky., to Elvon Dean Wise and Eva May (McDonald) Wise. He married Sara Leberman on Feb. 12, 2005, and she survives in Harrisburg.

Ronnie was an engineer at Patriot Coal Company and he earned a masters degree in Business Administration at Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. He was a member of Dorrisville Baptist Church of Harrisburg.

Ronnie is survived by his wife, Sara Wise of Harrisburg; son, Michael Wise and girl-friend Emily Dixon of Carbondale; mother, Eva May Wise of Eddyville; stepdaughter, Jordan Fly of Harrisburg; brothers, Donnie and wife Martha, Randall "Red" and wife Lysa; sister, Linda Denbow and husband Ron; nieces, Stephanie Grider, Krysta Graves and husband Seth, Katie Wise, Brittney Pettit and husband Ronald, Cortney Denbow, Raven Denbow; nephews, Kyle Wise and Robert Wise; sister-in-law, Lisa Buchtmann and husband Larry; brothers-in-law, Kurt Leberman and wife Becky, and Joe Leberman and wife Teresa; and mother-in-law, Janette Leberman.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his father, Elvon Wise and son, Jacob Wise.

Ronnie was a great father and husband; a friend to everyone. He was active in the Dorrisville Baptist Church and he enjoyed playing golf; watching the St. Louis Cardinals and watching Jordan Cheer for SIU.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013, at Dorrisville Baptist Church in Harrisburg. The Rev. Dewayne Taylor will officiate. Burial will follow in Eddyville Cemetery, in Eddyville. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 7, 2013, at Dorrisville Baptist Church.
