Obituary: Chadwick E. 'Butch' Seets
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Chadwick E. "Butch" Seets, Sr., 52, of Oak Ridge, Tenn., but formerly of Herod, died on March 24, 2012 in Oak Ridge, Tenn., from the result of an automobile accident.
Butch, as most knew him, was born on May 13, 1959, in Herod, to the late Ezra and Maxine (Marler) Seets. Butch served his country in the Army and had attended Honeycomb Church when he lived here.
He worked for the Wal-Mart Corporation for the last 12 years. While growing up in this area, he was known for selling the Grit newspaper and mowing lawns. He followed some sports but mostly just worked. He will be greatly missed.
Butch is survived by a son, Chad (Joanna) Seets, Jr. of Stanley, Wis.; two daughters, Desna (Jessie) Mounce of Oak Ridge, Tenn. and Kristen Seets of Elkhart, Ind.; a stepdaughter, Katrina (Edward) Harrawood of Elkhart, Ind.; five grandchildren, Chad Seets III, Josie Seets, Javion Seets, Emily Seets and Jeremiah Mounce; four stepgrandchildren, Joshua, Michael, Jordan and Ashley Harrawood; one sister, Mary and Dennis Mitchell of Herod.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Melissa Marler; and a nephew Chris Mitchell.
Visitation for Butch will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 31, 2012, at the Cox and Son Funeral Home in Ridgway followed by his funeral service at the funeral home starting at 2 p.m. The Rev. Lyndal Sork will officiate and interment will follow at the Colbert Cemetery near Herod with military rites.
