Prep Hoops: Eagles finish out strong at Classic
After a pair of losses to open the season and the Vienna Classic, a Wednesday night win over Carrier Mills-Stonefort propelled Eldorado to two more wins to close out the tournament over the weekend.
After beating the Wildcats 58-40, Eldorado knocked off Century 63-29 and then closed out the Classic with a 64-52 win over Vienna.
In the win over Century, Eldorado put two players in double figures as Isaac Bethel scored a team-high 15 points, while John Meredith tacked on 13 in the win.
Clay Boulds added eight points, while Adam Partridge and Ethan Partridge each scored six points. Adam Ninness and Jacob Traxler each finished with four points, while Kale Oglesby had three points. Stanton Hathaway and Ray May each had two points.
In the win over Vienna, Ethan Partridge led three other players in double figures with a team-high 17 points.
Max Kaiser scored 13 points, while Adam Ninness and Bethel each had 10 points.
Braden Attebury scored six, while Meredith finished with five points and Adam Partridge tacked on three points.
"I thought our kids played really well this week," head coach Josh Bradley said. "We were able to really play a lot of kids and get a lot of different looks. Everyone accepted their role on the team and we were able to finish on a strong note."
Ethan Partridge made the Vienna Classic All-Tournament Team, where the 6-foot-5 junior averaged a double-double during the tournament with 15 points per game and 12 rebounds a contest.
Eldorado is now 3-2 on the year and will return to action Friday at Gallatin County High School.
