Benjamin E. Vitacco

HARRISBURG -- Benjamin E. Vitacco, 94, passed away at 2:56 a.m. Friday, Feb. 3, 2017, in Harrisburg Medical Center.

He was born March 9, 1922, in Racine, Wisconsin, the son of Rocco and Camilla Volte Vitacco. He was married to Delores J. Booker.

Survivors include his wife, Delores; son, Frank Vitacco of Wausaukee, Wisconsin; three daughters, Patricia Vitacco of Athens, Tennessee, Nina Mendez of Kenosha, Wisconsin, and Teresa Vitacco of Racine, Wisconsin; stepdaughter, Hollie Zertuche of Harrisburg; stepson, Jack Rowland of Smithfield, Utah; eight grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son, Dennis Vitacco; daughter, Miriam Vitacco; grandson, Steven Mendez; and eight brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, in Christian Life Fellowship Church in Harrisburg with the Rev. Ken Boomingstock officiating. Burial will be in West Lawn Cemetery in Racine, Wisconsin. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
