Harrisburg Student of the Week - Lexy Brantley

Lexy Brantley, 9, a third-grader at East Side Intermediate School, is Harrisburg Student of the Week.

She was nominated by her teacher Brooke Robertson.

"Lexy is a very happy little girl, She enjoys visiting with friends and school in general," Mrs. Robertson said. "Lexy is very helpful and always excited to learn. She is a very positive student and makes teaching fun."

Lexy's favorite thing to study in class is art, she said, "because it's fun."

When she's not in school, Lexy enjoys swimming, playing basketball, dancing, riding on four-wheelers and camping.

Her favorite book is "Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus," her favorite movie is "Aquamarine," and her favorite TV show is "Paradise Run."

When she grows up, Lexy said she wants to be a photographer.
