OBITUARY: Mary Lee Pemberton
Mary Lee Pemberton, 88, resident of Eldorado passed away Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2015, at Ferrell Hospital.
Mary was born Dec. 31, 1926, in Olney to the late Lee Oliver and Mary (Maxwell) Harris. On Aug. 19, 1945, she married George DeWitt Pemberton who preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and a helpmate to her husband of 54 years. Mary and her husband spent many happy weekends at their "cabin" at Lake of Egypt prior to his death. She was a Member of the Eldorado First United Methodist Church. In 1970 she began a journey in education and earned a degree as an LPN.
Mary is survived by two sons, Wade H. (Lynne) Pemberton of Eldorado, Chad M. (Nancy) Pemberton of Eldorado; five grandchildren, Brandi (Jim) Metten, Jamie (Brian) Davies, Leigh (Richard) Cook, Emily Pemberton, Ethan Pemberton; a stepgrandson, Eric Grone; three great-grandchildren, Ari, Ely and Jett Davies; a sister-in-law, Shirley Harris; a brother-in-law, Thomas Cleveland; and many nieces and nephews. Mary will be greatly missed.
In accordance to her wishes she was cremated and there will be no public services. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Deaconess VNA Hospice, Eldorado in Mary's name. Condolences may be sent to the family via the website www.colonialterracefuneralhome.com
