Gallatin ACES ace regionals; headed for sectionals next week

The Gallatin County ACES (Academic Challenge in Engineering and Science) competed in the regional competition in February. They were recently notified that they placed 1st and received many individual medals as well. The team will advance to the sectional competition being held next week.

Individual medal winners are:

Biology: Madi Cruson, 1st place and Sidney Raymer, 3rd place.

Chemistry: Rylie Rushing, 3rd place.

Computer Science: Jaxson Buckman, 3rd place.

Engineering Graphics: Sydney Bickett, 1st; Preston Wilson, 2nd and Lane Henson and Isaac Walters, 3rd.

English: Sophie Howard, 1st; Madi Cruson and Addison Bean, 2nd.

Mathematics: Rylie Rushing, 1st; and Sam Howard, 3rd.

Physics: Bryce Jester, 1st.
