Jeannette Harris
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Jeannette Harris, 91, of Harrisburg, passed away at 3:09 a.m. Tuesday, May 12, 2010, at the Saline Care Center.
She was born on Oct. 13, 1918, in Harrisburg to the late Joseph W. and Teresa (Smith) James. On Dec. 26, 1965, she married Roger Harris and he preceded her in death on June 27, 1988.
Jeannette was a bookkeeper for Citizens National Bank and later for Harrisburg National Bank. She was a Methodist by faith. She was a member of the BPW for over 50 years; she was a member of the Wesley Anns of the Methodist Church and a member of the Harrisburg Women's Club.
Surviving family members include nieces and nephews, Barbara Stewart of Detroit, Mich., Gordon (Elizabeth) Siskey of Baltimore, Md., Roger Siskey of Baltimore, Md., Teresa English of Salisbury, Md., Terry (Jean) Fritts of Harrisburg and Phyllis Harris of Harrisburg. Several great-nieces and nephews survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roger; sister, Margaret Siskey; sister, Mary Ellen Castator; brother, William "Bill" James; and nephew, Billy Joe James.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 15, 2010, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. The Rev. Jim Lambert will officiate. Burial will follow in Sunset Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, May 15, 2010, at Reed Funeral Chapel.
