St. Louis Cardinals #dontneed2 NubAbility Baseball & Softball Camp hosted by SLU Athletics on June 14

The NubAbility Athletics Foundation, a Du Quoin-based not-for-profit foundation supporting children with limb differences, both congenital and amputee, will be hosting a baseball and softball clinic sponsored by the St. Louis Cardinals on June 14, 2015 at the Billiken Sports Complex at Saint Louis University.

The #dontneed2 unstoppABLE camp will provide limb-different youth ages 4-17 with instruction and mentorship in baseball and softball. Registration fees are just $20 for NubAbility athletes, $50 for kids with "all four" wishing to help raise funds for the foundation. Participants will receive training and guidance from NubAbility head coach Sam Kuhnert and other accomplished limb-different baseball and softball coaches. Several current and former collegiate and professional players and coaches will also assist with the camp.

Each NubAbility athlete participating will also receive two tickets to the St. Louis Cardinals game on NubAbility Night at Busch Stadium on June 15 against the Minnesota Twins at 7:15 p.m. All participants will receive a camp t-shirt, wristbands, and eyeblack.

Athletes will be divided into groups based on age and experience. Youth with upper-limb differences will focus on glove exchanges, batting stances and defensive maneuvers. Those with lower-limb differences will work on agility, footwork and batting stances. All athletes will be instructed according to their adaptive need on how to take their game to the next level in areas including pitching, hitting and fielding.

The camp runs from 12:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. for limb-different kids. Participants without limb loss will go from 3:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. To register for the camp, visit www.NubAbility.org and click on Camps & Clinics.

Additional sponsorship opportunities are still available for as little as $100. For more information on how to become a sponsor, contact the NubAbility Athletics Foundation at nubability@gmail.com or visit the NubAbility website. Invest in the courage and confidence of a kid through sport!

Additional game tickets for the Cardinals game on June 15 for friends and supporters of NubAbility are for sale as a fundraiser in the shop at NubAbility.org.
