Obituary: Mark E. Milligan

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Mark E. Milligan, 49, Elgin, passed away Monday, July 4, 2011, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born Aug. 19, 1961, in Elgin and worked as a machinist for 31 years. He married Sandra D. Koteles on Aug. 21, 1983, in Elgin.

Mark loved life, enjoyed fishing, riding his Harley, camping, singing karaoke, cheering on the Cubs and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra; two children, Joseph and Katelyn Milligan of Elgin; two grandchildren, Kayla and Haley Milligan of Elgin; mother, Marvetta (Milligan) Morris of Elgin; father, Guy Woolard of Eldorado; three brothers, Monty (Staci) Morris of Rockton, Richard (Barbara) Woolard of Eldorado and Rick Woolard of Eldorado; three sisters, Marla Morris of Des Plaines, Myrna (Mike) Juhl of New Richmond, Wis. and Sandra (Bill) Schauer of Bolingbrook; a special aunt, Debbie Morris of Shawneetown; a special uncle, Butch Milligan of Hampshire; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Glenn Dale Morris; sister, Myra Kinney; grandparents, Vern and Pauline Milligan; and uncle, Harl Milligan.

Services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, July 8, 2011, at Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St., Elgin. Burial will follow at Bluff City Cemetery, Elgin. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday, July 7, 2011, at the funeral home and from 12:30 p.m. to service time Friday at the funeral home.
