Prep Boys Hoops: Third quarter surge sends Mules to win

Fairfield put three players in double figures in picking up a 53-46 win over Eldorado Saturday night in Black Diamond Conference action.

Eric Rodgers had a team-high 14 points for the Miles (18-9), while Caden Robbins tacked on 13 points and McGuire Taylor tossed in 12 in the win.

Eldorado jumped out to a 12-9 first quarter lead and lead 22-19 at the break, but in the third quarter, EHS was outscored 19-9 and trailed 38-31 going into the final eight minutes in the seven-point loss.

Parker Price had a game-high 19 points for the Eagles, while Josh Owens scored seven points for the Eagles (14-10 overall, 2-5 BDC).

Brock Cantrell chipped in with six points for EHS, while Gage Heath and Boston Bradley each finished with five points for EHS. Both Dylan Henshaw and Trevor Milligan tacked on two points in the loss.

Eldorado returns to action tonight (Tuesday) at Carmi-White County and will travel to Flora Friday.
