OBITUARY: Stella Mae Crank

Stella Mae Crank, 90, of Dawson Springs, Ky., formerly of Eldorado, died Sunday, April 26, 2015, in Dawson Springs.

She was born in Hardinsburg, Ky., on Nov. 20, 1924, to the late Clarence and Ona Mae (Osburn) Sturgon. She was a private care nurse. She was a member of the Dawson Springs Gospel Assembly Church and she enjoyed working as a caregiver for many different people down through the years.

Stella is survived by her daughter: Jean Winters of Dawson Springs and 10 grandchildren: Denis Shultz, Bill Shultz, Mike Shultz, Bob Shultz, Lynette Hall, James Shultz, Marie Hall, Rebecca Myers, Bob Winters and Lara Lucas. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three husbands: Floyd Bull, Roy Shoptaw and Sherman Crank. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Ruth Ann Shultz and four sisters.

Memorial services for Stella will be held 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2015, at the Dawson Springs Gospel Assembly Church, 1440 Industrial Drive, Dawson Springs, Ky., with the Rev. Ben Butero officiating. Burial of her ashes will be in Wolf Creek Cemetery at a later date.
