OBITUARY: Maxine Belt

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Maxine Belt, age 85, passed away at 12:50 a.m. Tuesday, July 17, 2012, at Fountain View Nursing Home, Eldorado.

She was born May 5, 1927, daughter of Gwin and Mable Davis who preceded her in death. She married her loving husband Leroy "Bud" Belt on Oct. 13, 1942, who preceded her in death.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, July 20, 2012, immediately followed by funeral services at J. M. Weirauch Funeral Home. The Rev. Darrell Ford will officiate with burial at Lindale Cemetery in Eldorado.

Maxine was a homemaker and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church in Harrisburg and longtime WMU member.

She will be remembered and cherished for all the special holiday, birthday and family gatherings she hosted. She enjoyed cooking and having all her family around her. Recently, upon moving to Fountain View Nursing Home she acquired a new family, consisting of residents and staff. All of their kindness will always be remembered.

Maxine is survived by her daughters, Wanda Sisk, Harper Wood, Mich., Janet (R.J.) Moye, Rigdway; grandchildren, Brian (Melissa) Belt of Harrisburg, Brandi (Jason) Haney of Harrisburg, Matthew Moye of Ridgway, Andrea Boyer (Sisk) of Harper Wood, Mich., and Jess Sisk of Harper Wood, Mich.; great-grandchildren, Brandon and Brianna Belt, Jadynn Haney, Raphael and Jacob Moye and Olivia and Bella Boyer; brother, Gwin Davis of Harrisburg and Shirley Borders of Washington, Ill.; nieces and nephews.

Maxine was preceded in death by husband, Leroy "Bud" Belt; son, Gary Belt; brothers, Donald Davis, Doyle Davis and Leon Davis; son-in-law, Edward Sisk and daughter-in-law Marilyn Belt.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society at the funeral home. Envelopes will be provided.
