Boo in the 'Burg
HARRISBURG - Despite rain and cold temperatures, quite a few ghosts, goblins and other assorted characters visited Harrisburg businesses Thursday to celebrate the city's "Boo in the 'Burg" Halloween event.
At Factory Connection, Amy Craig and store manager Shawna Cardwell dressed in costumes with the addition of non-costume face masks to hand out treats. Youngsters had the opportunity to pose with a Halloween display for photos as well.
Down Poplar Street, trick-or-treaters sprang from cars and visited several downtown businesses handing out candy.
The event was a change from the city's regular trunk-or-treat as a way to encourage social distancing while still allowing children and businesses to participate in a Halloween-themed event.
