Mary Lou McCurley

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Mary Lou McCurley, 79, of Springfield, died at 2:20 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 17, 2011, at St. John&#39;s Hospice.

She was born Jan. 2, 1932, in Springfield to Owen and Jane Wables Prytherch. She married Carl J. McCurley, Sr. in 1951 and he preceded her in death on Dec. 24, 2000. Also preceding her in death were her parents; a son, Jerry McCurley; a brother, Jackie Prytherch; and a sister, Doris Livingston.

Mary Lou is survived by two daughters, Cindy McCurley of Springfield and Janet (Kenny) Griffin of Eldorado; two sons, Carl J. McCurley Jr. of Springfield and Wayne McCurley of Eldorado; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Patty Jo (Rich) Murawski of Springfield; one brother, Kenny Delaney of Lincoln; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mary Lou was a member of St. Joseph&#39;s Church and worked as a waitress at the St. Nicholas Hotel and for Viele&#39;s Lounge.

Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 20, 2011, at Staab Funeral Home. Services will be held at noon Monday, Feb. 21, 2011, at Staab Funeral Home with Randy Zimmerlli officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
