Wing.A.Ma.Jig coming Saturday

Live entertainment and "plenty to eat, drink and taste" will be part of the third annual Wing.A.Ma.Jig, presented by the Saline County Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Board.

From noon to 7 p.m. on Saturday at the Saline County Fairgrounds, entertainment will feature live music, a Ponderosa wing eating contest and a chicken wing cook-off. There will be a play area for kids kids, a beer tent and a wide array of chicken wings for sampling.

The champion of the chicken wing cookoff will win prize money and the title of best wingmaster in southern Illinois.

Local artisans will have items for sale, and Southern Illinois Inflatables will provide fun for kids.

Curt Hustudee will start off the event with a DJ show, followed by local favorites Giovanni Jones, Kristin Kearns and Darling Parade.

Entry is $5 per car.
