Ramona J. Fort

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Ramona J. Fort, 75, Harrisburg, died 2:40 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at Harrisburg Medical Center.

She was born on Dec. 26, 1935, in Harrisburg to George Butler and Louise York Butler. She married Robert G. Fort on April 24, 1954, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 26, 1980.

She was a retired switchboard operator at Harrisburg Medical Center and attended the Dorrisville Social Brethren Church in Harrisburg.

She is survived by a daughter, Cindy (Darrell) Palmer of Harrisburg; two sons, Greg (Marsha) Fort of Harrisburg and Todd Fort of Harrisburg; a brother, Danny (Linda) Butler of Harrisburg; eight grandchildren, Brennan (Gina) Palmer, Courtney (Phillip) Bebout, Jacob (Trista) Palmer, Alex Palmer, Amanda Fort, Adam Fort, Nik Fort and Hannah Fort; and six great-grandchildren, Kailey, Garrett, Wyatt, Braxton, Rylan and Darrian.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a brother, Delmar Butler.

Visitation is 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 4, 2011, at Absher-Nicholson Funeral Home, Carrier Mills. Services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 5, 2011, at Absher-Nicholson Funeral Home in Carrier Mills with the Rev. Roy Hughes and the Rev. Jerry Wells officiating. Burial will be in Gilead Cemetery, Simpson.

In respect to the wishes of the family, expressions of sympathy should take the form of memorials to the Dorrisville School Reunion. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
