</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Larry R. Owens, 62, 722 S. Land St., Harrisburg, died 5:45 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011, at Saline Care Center, Harrisburg.

Services will be held at noon Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011, at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills with the Rev. Debbie Hill and the Rev. Steve Shea officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery. Visitation is 10 a.m. to service time Saturday at the funeral home.

He was born on June 30, 1948, in Chicago to the late Edward and Virginia (Miller) Owens.

He was a retired mechanic and also had been employed at Nationwide Glove Factory.

He was a member of the Daystar Baptist Church in Harrisburg.

He is survived by a son, Chris (Kimberly) Owens of Harrisburg; five grandsons, Tyler, Brian, Mark, Josh and Turner Owens, all of Harrisburg; several nieces and nephews, Pam (Larry) Taylor of Carterville, Carl (Susan) Keef Jr., Terra Owens and Taylor Hope Keef; a great-niece and great-nephews, Laren Taylor and Christine Le Forge; and a great-great-nephew, Matthew Le Forge.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Terry Owens; and a sister, Donna Keef.
