Death notice: Carolyn Janice Parks

Carolyn Janice Parks, 72, of Galatia passed away Sunday May 24, 2015 at 3:04 p.m. in the Baptist Health Hospital in Paducah. She was born on April 17, 1943 in Saline Co. Illinois to the late John & Ovetia (Prather) Zinn. Carolyn married Gaylon Parks on October 1, 1960 in Creal Springs, Illinois. She was a Homemaker and was a member at the North America Baptist Church. Carolyn is survived by he husband Gaylon two children Minty Waide (Birdie) & Shawn Parks (Jamie), five grandchildren Tiffany Hillard (Cory), Stephanie McCaleb (Matt), Kayla Parks, Sadie Parks & Miki Jo Parks; six great grand children Lia, Derik, Olivia, Easton, Noah & Haylee; two sisters Imogene Williams & Kay (Glenn) Bridewell. She was preceded by her parents and a son Monty Joe Parks a brother George L. Zinn & sister Lynda Lou Hull. Funeral services will be Friday May 29, 2015 at 1 p.m. at the Sloan Funeral Home in Galatia with visitation Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Rev.
