Doris June Reynolds, formerly of Harrisburg

Doris June Reynolds, 91, of Miner, Mo., went home to be with the Lord on May 7, 2026, while residing at the Sikeston Convalescent Center, Sikeston, Mo.

Doris was born in the community of Somerset south of Harrisburg on Jan. 15, 1935. She was the first child of Herman and Lorene Dowdy. She was united in marriage with the late Rev. Jonah Lee Reynolds on April 12, 1952. They shared 68 wonderful years of life together until the passing of Rev. Reynolds on March 8, 2020. The wedding ceremony took place at the Big Saline Baptist Church, Harrisburg following the Sunday evening service.

Doris loved to sing alongside her husband, Jonah, sew and play Yahtzee. Doris was a faithful member of Murray Lane Baptist Church, Sikeston, Mo.

Doris is survived by daughters Pamela Adams (Jerry) of Marion and Carla Carter of Miner, Mo. She was blessed with two grandchildren, Natasha Sims (Dale) and Jacob Carter (Ashley); seven great-grandchildren, Karli Campise (Joseph) of Mt. Vernon, Xander, Jasper and Chloe Sims of Marion, and Mila, Maebre and Cora Carter of Jackson, Mo; and one great-great-grandson, Henry Lee Campise of Mt. Vernon. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, the late Rev. Jonah L. Reynolds; brothers Darrell and Leo and sister Shirley; and one grandson, David Adams.

Visitation was held at Aly Funeral Home, 1099 St. Hwy 145 N, Eddyville, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, May 11, 2026. Graveside services followed at 1:45 p.m. at the Coffee Cemetery, Harrisburg, on Monday, May 11, 2026. The Rev. Joe McCullough, pastor of Murray Lane Baptist Church, officiated at the graveside service.
