Delta Kappa Gamma chapters hold joint meeting over brunch

The annual joint meeting of two area Delta Kappa Gamma Chapters was held at Scuttle Inn Restaurant in Percy. Beta Delta Chapter hosted Alpha Kappa Chapter members for the brunch and social gathering. A delicious brunch of quiche, sausage, breakfast potatoes, fruit and sweet rolls was served to the 27 members attending.

Colorful flowers, place mats and candy cups decorated the tables. Fabric Easter Bunnies were made by Beta Delta members as favors. A Randolph County History Book and fabric-lined baskets of treats were awarded as attendance prizes.

Beta Delta Chapter President Carolyn Schwent welcomed members and introduced Alpha Kappa Co-Presidents Lynn Love and Mary Helen Yeck. All members joined in the Society Collect and the Delta Kappa Gamma Song.

Following brunch, members introduced themselves, stated their areas of teaching and shared information on a favorite spring flower. Members then gathered for separate chapter business meetings.

Delta Kappa Gamma Society International promotes professional and personal growth of women educators and excellence in education. Beta Delta and Alpha Kappa Chapters welcome members from Randolph, Jackson, Perry, Franklin, Williamson and Johnson counties.
