A sweet tribute to CMSF's 'Ms. Sue'

Before the Carrier Mills-Stonefort High School Senior Night on Feb. 17, a special presentation was made to the family of Ms. Sue Field.

From 2000 to2018, Sue Field, the school nurse, handed out countless hugs, cough drops and Band-Aids at the Carrier Mills-Stonefort Grade School. Ms. Sue also sold tickets to basketball and volleyball games at the grade school and high school. The smiling face that greeted you at the door was Ms. Sue.

At the end of the 2018 school year, Ms. Sue retired. In her retirement letter, she signed it with this, "Ms. Sue loved all her kids." If you knew Ms. Sue, no truer words were ever spoken.

Ms. Sue passed away on Aug. 18, 2021. This season, the basketball team wore remembrance bands on their jerseys with her name.

At the Senior Night Program, a pink insert for Ms. Sue was added, and at the game, a special plaque was presented to her family in honor of Ms. Sue. This plaque will be placed on the ticket booth here at the high school.

Ms. Sue's ticket booth will be open for business at every home basketball and volleyball game.

The CMSF faculty, staff, and administration would like to acknowledge Ms. Sue for her hard work and dedication to our school district, and thank her for a job well done.
