Harrisburg Medical Center congratulates Dr. James Alexander
HARRISBURG - Harrisburg Medical Center would like to congratulate Dr. James Alexander, MD, CMO, for recently completing his master's degree in health care administration.
We are so proud of Dr. Alexander and all his many accomplishments. Dr. Alexander joined Harrisburg Medical Center back in 1991, and in 2018 he became the Chief Medical Officer of HMC.
Dr. Alexander stated "I thought it was necessary to advance my education in my role as Chief Medical Officer here at HMC. Physicians today are taking more leadership roles as health care becomes more complex and challenging." "My management focus has been quality and patient safety as well as physician engagement."
Donald Hutson, HMC President and Chief Executive Officer stated "Dr. Alexander has been a major component of Harrisburg's medical community for years. He is a lifelong learner. This new milestone positions him to have an even greater impact on the health of this community."
