COVID-19 cases continue to climb in Saline, Gallatin, White as vaccines arrive

ELDORADO - Egyptian Health Department reported 64 additional COVID-19 cases Monday, as the state received its first shipments of vaccines against the virus.

Cases tracked by EHD include:

<b>Saline County</b>

Female: three in their 20s, two in their 30s, four in their 50s, four in their 70s, three in their 80s, one in her 90s

Male: one under the age of 5, two in their teens, one in his 20s, one in his 30s, one in his 40s, one in his 60s, two in their 80s, one in his 90s

<b>Gallatin County</b>

Female: one in her 50s, one in her 80s

Male: two in their teens, one in his 40s, one in his 60s, one in his 70s, one in his 80s, one in his 90s

<b>White County</b>

Female: one under the age of 10, two in their 20s, five in their 50s, two in their 60s, two in their 70s, three in their 80s, four in their 90s, two demographics unknown-case status in progress

Male: one in his teens, one in his 30s, two in their 40s, one in his 60s, one in his 80s, two demographics unknown-case status in progress

Saline County has had a total of 1,493 positives, including 26 deaths. White County has had 949 positives, including 12 deaths. Gallatin County has had 277 positives of COVID-19, including three deaths.

On Monday, Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker announced the state had received its first shipment of COVID-19 vaccines for distribution to the most vulnerable populations across the state.
