Eldorado Garden Study Club member Pauline Fry receives VIP award

ELDORADO - The Eldorado Garden Study Club has recently received word that longtime member Pauline Fry of Eldorado has been awarded the prestigious VIP award from the Garden Clubs of Illinois.

Pauline joined the club in 2003 after retiring from a long career in the insurance business.

In 2006, she became the club treasurer and held that office through 2011. Even though no longer a club officer, she continued to be a very active club member, collecting money at the club's annual plan sale and volunteering to take care of other club business.

Pauline served as the club's Horticulture Tips Chairperson and always provided programs of interest to the group. Pauline has planted and maintains a beautiful nectar garden and feeds the visiting hummingbirds each summer.

The Eldorado Garden Study Club is proud to honor Pauline for her many years of cheerful, caring and loving service to God, her community and the club.
