Lunsford leads Gallatin County Board votes

GALLATIN COUNTY - Andrew Lunsford received the top number of votes for Gallatin County Board in the Nov. 3 General Election.

Lunsford, the lone Republican candidate, received 1,409 votes according to the county clerk's office Tuesday evening.

Lunsford said he was grateful for the support at the polls.

"I would like to thank everyone in Gallatin County for your vote. I truly appreciate it," Lunsford said. "I will work hard for our county, and make decisions based in our best interests."

Lunsford was joined by Shawneetown Mayor David Barker, who received 1,301 votes, and Lane Golden-Wenzel, who received 1,277 votes.

Golden-Wenzel said she appreciated being elected to the board.

"Thank you to all the voters who came out this year," she said. "Being able to continue to serve the people of Gallatin County is a great privilege and I'm thankful to get that opportunity."

Current Gallatin County Board member Mark York received 1,243 votes.
