Ten more test positive for COVID-19, EHD says

ELDORADO - Ten more people in Egyptian Health Department's three-county service area tested positive for COVID-19, the health department reported Tuesday afternoon.

The individuals include:

<h3 class="breakHead">Saline County</h3>

a female in her 20s, at home and in isolation

a female in her 40s, case status in progress

a female in her 40s, case status in progress

a male in his 50s, at home and in isolation

a female in her 60s, at home and in isolation

a female in her 70s, at home and in isolation

a female in her 80s, at home and in isolation

<h3 class="breakHead">Gallatin County</h3>

a male in his 60s, at home and in isolation

<h3 class="breakHead">White County</h3>

a female in her 30s, at home and in isolation

a male in his 60s, hospitalized

To date, Saline County has had a total of 527 lab-confirmed positives, including nine deaths.

Gallatin County has a total of 118 lab-confirmed positives of COVID-19, including two deaths.

White County has had a total of 256 lab-confirmed positives, including one death.

As cases increase, the number of close contacts increases for individuals who need to be quarantined for a minimum of 14 days. Please maintain physical distancing of six feet or more at all times.

Public health officials are conducting an investigation of these cases by speaking with individuals who are deemed potential close contacts.

As is protocol, public health officials may place other individuals on home quarantine if they are determined to have had significant exposure. Such individuals may not by symptomatic, but are quarantined for a period of time which allows symptoms to develop and pass, without posing risk to others.
