Saline County COVID-19 cases increase by nearly 100 in a week

ELDORADO - On Monday, Egyptian Health Department reported eight new cases of COVID-19.

The new cases include:

a female, in her 20s, at home and in isolation;

a female, in her 30s, case status in progress;

a male, in his 30s, at home and in isolation;

a male, in his 30s, at home and in isolation;

a female, in her 40s, at home and in isolation;

a male, in his 40s, at home and in isolation;

a female, in her 60s, at home and in isolation;

a female, in her 70s, hospitalized.

According to the number of COVID-19 cases reported by Egyptian Health Department, Saline County COVID-19 cases increased by nearly 100 in a week.

On Saturday, Sept. 19, the number of Saline County cases stood at 249, with three deaths related to COVID-19. In the following days, many more cases would follow.

On Sunday, Sept. 20, 12 new cases were reported in Saline County. Monday saw 13 more, and Tuesday's result was an additional 19.

Wednesday's report from EHD recorded 17 new cases, plus the death of one Saline County resident related to COVID-19.

Thursday, the health department reported six new cases, and on Friday, the number of new cases spiked, with 20 reported. Saturday, Sept. 26 saw eight new cases and Sunday, Sept. 27 had two new Saline County cases.

Sunday's reported cases brought the total number in Saline County to 345, an increase of 96 positive COVID-19 cases. Monday's newest numbers now show Saline County with 353 positive cases. In addition, Gallatin County has had 77 cases and two deaths. Meanwhile, White County has had 171 cases and one death.
