Michael Hillegas DAR welcomes District VII director

HARRISBURG - Michael Hillegas DAR Regent Kathy Morris welcomed Illinois DAR District VII Director Doda Starkey for a recent program.

District Director Starkey's program was "Women Who Answered the Call."

The talk described women's services during wartime and women who served in silence. The talk highlighted the Revolutionary War Service of Margaret Cochran Corbin and Deborah Sampson Gannett; Clara Barton's Civil War Service and the Hello Girls World War I Service.
