Eagles edge out Z-R

Eldorado edged out Zeigler-Royalton on a fifth score in a dual match Friday at Franklin County Country Club in West Frankfort.

Each team shot a 174, but it was Eldorado's Nick Stanford's 50, which tied fellow Eagle Austin Willis' 50 for the deciding score.

Noah Smith took overall medalist honors, firing a 39, while Canon Weatherly shot a 41 and Kaiden Lloyd finished with a 44. Zac Stanford scored a 64 for the Eagles.

Zeigler-Royalton was led by a 40 from Carter Maloney, while Riley Corso and Wyatt Sherwin each shot a pair of 44's. Seth Chwarczinksi finished with a 46, while Gunner Hawkins added a 51 and Trey Cole finished with a 61.
