Indiana woman injured from Garden of the Gods fall
SALINE COUNTY - A 19-year-old Indiana woman fell at Garden of the Gods Sunday afternoon, though her injuries were not life-threatening according to the Equality Fire Department.
The woman, from Evansville, Indiana, fell about 40 feet near the Camel Rock feature at the recreational area, according to the fire department. Equality Fire Department, though in Gallatin County, is trained for rock-climbing rescues and is the primary department for responding to accidents at Garden of the Gods, which is in the southeastern corner of Saline County.
According to the fire department, the woman is believed to have slipped and fallen while visiting the Garden of the Gods Observation Area with friends. She suffered several injuries, though none were life-threatening, according to the fire department.
