Body found in rural Ava

A death investigation is underway after the discovery of a body Saturday morning in rural Ava.

Jackson County Sheriff's Office Lt. Jon Kilquist reports deputies discovered the body of 37-year-old Edward H. Dudley of Dupo after responding to a 911 call around 12:42 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 21.

A death investigation is ongoing with the Jackson County Sheriff's Office.
