Mayme Catheryn Creamer of Harrisburg
Mayme Catheryn Creamer, 98, passed away at 6:40 p.m. Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at Saline Care Center in Harrisburg.
Mayme was born March 16, 1919, in Livingston County, Kentucky to Ed and Nora (Vaughn) Sneed. She married Obe Jule Creamer, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 13, 1998.
Survivors include five children: John Creamer and wife Annette of North Beach, Maryland; Bonnie Creamer of Winter Springs, Florida; Sharon Loesch and husband Randy of Carrier Mills; Rhonda Neville and husband Chris of Oak Park; and Jamy Patterson and husband David of Winthrop Harbor.
There are eight grandchildren: Cony Frost (Greg) of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin; Mike Alter and Scot Loesch, both of Kenosha, Wisconsin; Chad Loesch of Trevor, Wisconsin; Rowan Neville and Guinevere Neville, both of Oak Park; and Madeline Renee Ladewig and Sawyer Boone Patterson, both of Winthrop Harbor.
Other survivors are her great-grandchildren, Amanda Carstens, Randy Alter, Jimmy Alter, Justin Loesch, Tyler Loesch, Caitlyn Loesch and Aiden Loesch; great-great-grandchild, Kannon Bee Carstens; siblings, Robert Sneed of Hobe Sound, Florida, and Lena Stacey and Marcella Wren, both of Harrisburg; numerous nephews; and special niece and caregiver, Carol Jean Pumphrey.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and three brothers and two sisters, Hurdle Edward "Buddy" Sneed, Paul (Dorothy) Sneed, Herman (Carrie Lee) Sneed, Wilma (Gene) Watson and Estelle (Charles "Hooker") Ricketts.
Local funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, June 2, in Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg with Jerry Alexander officiating. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Out-of-area funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, June 5, in Congdon Funeral Home in Zion with the Rev. Willie Long officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Memorial Park in Zion. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
