Marilyn Kay Potts

Marilyn Kay Potts, 62, of Harrisburg, died at 6:53 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, 2016 at Harrisburg Medical Center.

Marilyn was born on July 1, 1954 in Eldorado to the late Arthur Cyril and Teddy Lucile (Sailsbury) Smith. On Dec.26, 1975, she married Danny Potts. He survives. Marilyn was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.

Surviving family members include her husband, Danny Potts of Harrisburg; sons, Nathan Potts and Eric Potts, of Harrisburg; sisters, Dr. Patricia Smith of Ridgway, and Marcia and husband, Robert Barnett, of Carmi; and brother, Gordon and wife, Mary Lou Smith, of Harrisburg. Several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews also survive.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents and children, Adam and Jessica Potts.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Sunday at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. Rev. Ron Reed officiated. Burial followed at Jackson Cemetery in Ridgway. Visitation was Saturday at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. Memorial contributions may be made to Liberty Baptist Church.
