Danny A. Beltz

ELDORADO - Danny A. Beltz, 83, passed away at 12:45 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, 2016, at his residence.

He was born July 19, 1933, in Equality to Dan and Lura (Williams) Beltz. On July 14, 1978, he married Elizabeth Ann Woods, and she survives.

Dan retired as vice president and general manager of Teegarden Lumber Yard.

He was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church in Harrisburg, where he served on many committees.

Dan was a veteran who served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a past master of Equality Masonic Lodge 2, an Ainad Temple Shriner, past president of Egyptian Shrine Club and past president of Egyptian Shrine Motor Patrol.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Ann Beltz of Eldorado; son, Andrew Beltz and wife Teresa; brother, Bill Beltz and wife Sue; and special sister-in-law, Dixie Morgan and husband Mike.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and daughters, Margaret Beltz and Theresa Cook.

Funeral services will be at noon Tuesday, Nov. 8, in Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg with the Rev. Christine Cunningham officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Lawn Cemetery. Veteran's rites will be conducted by Harrisburg and Carrier Mills American Legion, the VFW and Air Force. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday at the funeral home with Masonic rites by Equality Masonic Lodge 2 at 11:45 a.m.

The family requests no flowers. Donations may be made to First United Methodist Church in Harrisburg or Hospice of Southern Illinois. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
