Sue Hammersley

ELDORADO - Sue Hammersley, 71, passed away Thursday, Oct. 27, 2016, at her residence.

Sue was born Sept. 28, 1945, in Harrisburg to Hobert and Mary F. (Wheatley) Beal.

She married Larry G. Hammersley, and he survives.

Other survivors include her son, James "Jamie" White of Hanna City; daughter, Kimberly (Philip) Burton of Cave-In-Rock; two brothers, Albert Beal of Paducah and Glen Beal of Metropolis; sister, Lola (Roy) Ackley of Georgia; five grandchildren, Mindy Alvey of Galatia, Justin Drone of Eldorado, Tyler McCormick of Galatia, Seth White of Harrisburg and Nathan White of Eldorado; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Harvey Beal and infant Harold Wayne Wheatley; and sister, Shirley Middleton.

In accordance with Sue's wishes, private services will be conducted and cremation will follow.

Colonial Terrace Funeral Home in Eldorado is in charge of arrangements.
