Delbert Harold Volkening

Delbert Harold Volkening, 82, of Eldorado passed away at 12:45 AM, Friday, September 2, 2016, at Eldorado Rehab and Nursing Home.

Delbert was born on July 16, 1934 in Burlington, IL to the late Edwin and Helena (Seyler) Volkening. On June 17, 1966 he married Grace Dutton and she preceded him in death on February 28, 2006. He was a carpenter and Navy Veteran.

Surviving family members include his sons: David Volkening and wife Kathy of Eldorado and Scott Volkening of Elgin, IL; granddaughter: Bethany Mathis and husband Blake of Harrisburg; grandson: Nicholas Volkening of Edwardsville, IL; two great-grandchildren: Taylor Mathis and Jackson Mathis of Harrisburg; brother: Edwin Volkening, Jr. and wife Pauline of Alton, IL.

Delbert was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother, Marlowe Volkening and sister, Delores Jenny.
