Jimella "Jimmy" Webb
Jimella "Jimmy" Webb, age 80, of Harrisburg, went to be with her Lord at 3:30 AM, Friday, July 1, 2016, at her residence.
Jimella was born on February 18, 1936 in Harrisburg to the late J. C. and Ella Hannah (Clark) Vaughn. On December 20, 1953 she married Richard Max Webb and he preceded her in death in August of 2013. Jimmy graduated with the Class of 1953 from Harrisburg Township High School and had worked at the Youth Shop, Bride's Boutique and the White Lace Inn. She was a member of Dorrisville Baptist Church, the Bible Searchers Sunday School Class, and Red Hats for God. Mama lived her life for her family and her greatest joys were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, "Mama's Angels."
Surviving family members include her three children: Tyler Webb and wife Teresa of Carterville, Terri Martin and husband Butch of Harrisburg and Treva Lands and husband Randy of Harrisburg; eight grandchildren: Bridgette Mott and husband T.J. of Harrisburg, Blayden and Issac Webb of Carterville, Amber Burnett of Carmi, Ashleigh Smothers and husband Steve of Harrisburg, Alyssa Cockrum and husband Seth of Galatia, Annette Hubbs and husband Burt of Harrisburg and T.J. Storms and fiancé Mike Jones of Harrisburg; fourteen great-grandchildren: Addy and Avery Mott, Noah and Cole Ferrell, Branson Burnett, Kinzleigh and Maddux Smothers, Elliet and Hutch Cockrum, Christina Murray, Adrienne and Savannah Hubbs and Brayden and Braxton Storms; four sisters: Willis Myers of Cedar Rapids, IA, Norma Aldridge of Marion, Doris Oliver of Harrisburg and Delores York and husband Bill of French Lick, IN; brother: Donald Vaughn and wife Jean of St. Charles, MO; many special nieces and nephews with one that was like a daughter to her: Georgiann Oliver and husband Robert LeChien of Belleville; special caregivers: Patty McDowell, Brenda Gulley, Lori Ramsey, Melinda Nalley; and, special hospice caregivers: Candice Reeder and Melissa Johns.
Jimella was preceded in death by her parents, husband, father and mother-in-law, Ervin and Audrey Webb, sister, Eva Logsdon and husband Lawrence, sister, Nona Martin and husband Looney, brother, James Carol Vaughn, and brothers-in-law, Norman Myers, Robert Aldridge and George Oliver.
Funeral services will be held at 3 PM, Sunday, July 3, 2016 at Dorrisville Baptist Church in Harrisburg. Rev. Mark Cockrum will officiate. Burial will follow in Sunset Lawn Cemetery. Visitation was held from 1 to 3 PM, Sunday, July 3, 2016 at Dorrisville Baptist Church in Harrisburg.
