Belinda Faye Hicks Bethel

Belinda Faye Hicks Bethel, age 56, of Harrisburg, passed away at 3:30 PM, Friday, May 13, 2016 at Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado.

Belinda was born on March 18, 1960 in Harrisburg to Lela Hester (Milligan) and the late Martin Mallady. She was married to Joe Hicks for 20 years and they share two children together. She shared a loving friendship with Eugene Bethel and his family who supported her through her battle with cancer.

Surviving family members include her mother: Lela Hester of Harrisburg; two children: Justin (Caitlyn) Hicks of Harrisburg, and Krista Hicks of Harrisburg; grandchildren: Donny Hicks, Lydia Hicks, Jimmy Hicks, Justin Hicks, Jr., Arin Hicks, Ciara Hicks, Brendan Hicks, Jaxon and Jase Hohimer and Devon Hanson and two grandchildren expected later this year; three brothers: Robert (Angela) Mallady of St. Martinsville, LA, Bart (Dana) Mallady of Harrisburg and Brian (Tonja) Hester of Harrisburg; nieces and nephews: Michael Mallady of Melbourne, FL, Amy Mallady of Richmond, VA, Maycee, Will and Ty Hester of Harrisburg; numerous loving aunts and uncles.

Belinda was preceded in death by her father: Martin Mallady and Step-Father: Chuck Hester.

Memorial services will be held at 1 PM, Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. Rev. Harold Miller will officiate. Visitation will be from 11 AM to 1 PM, Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at Reed Funeral Chapel.
